
Rental terms of service
Welcome to Style Me. By using our website and rental services at www.styleme.co.nz, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions set out below.
These terms may be updated from time to time at our discretion.

1. Overview – Rental Agreement
When you rent a garment from Style Me, you are hiring it for the agreed rental period only. The item remains the legal property of Style Me at all times.
Garments must be returned the next working day after your event unless otherwise arranged. Failure to do so will result in late fees and may incur additional charges.
Bookings must be made using a valid New Zealand phone number, address, and email. We may request further identification for larger or high-value orders.
Please note: all approved refunds will have a $5 administration fee deducted to cover payment processing and handling costs.
2. Rental Fees
All rental prices are listed in NZD and are clearly displayed on each product page. Prices reflect both the retail value and the current condition of the garment.
Rentals are confirmed only once payment has been received.
3. Garment Delivery, Dates & Pick-ups

Orders are dispatched on working days via overnight courier (unless Saturday delivery is selected).

Items are usually sent 2–3 days before your event date. Late bookings are accepted at your own risk.

If you require delivery earlier than the day before your event, please select an earlier start date when booking.

Weekend rentals must be booked by 2pm Wednesday (unless Saturday delivery is arranged).
Pick-ups are available by arrangement and will be confirmed with you during the week of your booking.
4. Holiday Rentals (Christmas / New Year)
To ensure timely delivery, orders should be placed by 18 December. Rentals during this period are automatically extended until 6 January.
Orders made after 18 December are not eligible for refunds if delivery is delayed but may qualify for a store credit if the item does not arrive.
5. Garment Condition & Descriptions
We are transparent about the condition of our garments. Any notable flaws will be listed on the product page under “Condition.” Rental items may show general wear such as:

Light fabric pulls

Loose threads
-
Minor marks inside linings (e.g. from fake tan)
These are considered normal wear and tear for rental items and are not eligible for refunds.
6. Faulty Items
If you believe your garment has arrived faulty, you must notify us within 12 hours of receiving it and provide photos. The garment must then be returned within 24 hours.
Refunds will only be issued if Style Me determines the garment was faulty on arrival and unworn. Wearing the garment will be deemed acceptance of its condition.
7. Cleaning & Care
Style Me takes care of all cleaning. Please do not attempt to wash or dry clean garments yourself.
Our cleaning methods vary depending on the fabric and may include delicate hand washing, specialist laundering, or professional steaming.
8. Sizing
Sizing issues are not refundable. Each product page includes size guides and recommendations. Please measure yourself carefully and contact us for guidance if unsure.
9. Cancellations & Refunds

Within 24 hours of booking – Full refund or store credit.

More than 24 hours after booking & more than 2 weeks before event – Eligible for store credit only.

Within 2 weeks of event date – Non-refundable.
Refunds are not available for:

Change of mind
-
Fit/sizing issues
-
Garments with imperfections that were described before booking

Late arrivals due to bookings made less than 3 working days before the event
11. Postal Delays
If a garment does not arrive due to NZ Post delays, and it was dispatched in line with our shipping policy, you will receive a store credit. Refunds are not available in these cases.
12. Late Returns
All items must be returned the first working day after your event. If not, a $20 per day fee applies until the item is scanned by NZ Post.
You are responsible for ensuring the garment is handed over the counter and scanned – dropping into a post box is not accepted.
13. Damage Policy & Protection Option
Normal wear and tear is expected. However, if a garment is returned with severe stains, rips, burns, or damage that makes it unwearable, you will be charged 110% of the retail value listed on the product page.
Minor Damage Protection Add-On
For extra peace of mind, you may add Damage Protection at checkout for $14.99. This covers small accidents such as loose seams, minor stains, or light fabric pulls. It does not cover significant damage (e.g. rips, burns, permanent stains, or lost items).
